Rates of Services

I believe that everyone should have access to mental health resources. That's why I am committed to setting ethical fees, while never compromising on quality of care.

I offer a free initial consultation so you can get to know me and my approach to therapy before committing to a therapy plan. During this consultation, we can discuss any concerns or questions you may have and determine together if we are a good fit for each other.

**In addition to standard rates, I offer a limited number of clients a "reduced rate" option. Please let me know if you are interested in one of these appointments during our initial consultation.

Initial Consult

This consult call is for all new clients. During our 15 minutes we will get to know each other and we will discuss the services I offer, rates of services, and availability prior to scheduling an intake appointment.

Private Pay

Core Mental Wellness is a private pay practice, which means that I am an out of network provider and I collect full session payment directly from you the same day we meet.  Payment will be charged directly to the credit card I keep on your secure portal.  I have consciously made the decision to not go through insurance companies for several reasons:

  • I intentionally set my rates to keep a small caseload because I want to offer the highest quality of care.  Insurance companies often pay low rates causing therapists to take on large caseloads, which diminishes the quality of care for clients and results in burnout among therapists.
  • I care about your privacy and insurance companies often request treatment records to justify payment.
  • I believe the length of your treatment should be based on your needs rather than dictated by your coverage.

If you would like to use your insurance for payment of services, you can seek out of network coverage directly from your insurance company. I am able to provide you a specific style of receipt, called a superbill, with the necessary information to receive reimbursement and then you can work with your insurance provider to obtain payment. There are no guarantees insurance will provide any coverage.

I am committed to making therapy accessible, I offer a limited number of sliding scale sessions in my schedule.  Please reach out and inquire if one of these spots is currently open.

Cancellation Policy

Core Mental Wellness reserves the right to charge the full session fee for no-shows and cancellations within less than 24 hour notice. Core Mental Wellness reserves the right to discontinue services after 2 no-show or late cancellations.

Rights to a Good Faith Estimate

The “No Surprises Act” (the Act), allows for patient financial protections that impact health plans, physicians, and facilities.

The “No Surprises Act” is a new requirement to provide a good faith estimate (GFE). Beginning January 1, 2022,  health care providers will be required to give new and established patients who are uninsured, or self-pay, or patients who are shopping for care, a good faith estimate of costs for services that they provide.

You have the right to receive a "Good Faith Estimate" explaining how much your medical care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give clients who don't have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.

  • Your health care provider shall provide you a Good Faith Estimate in writing prior to your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider and any other provider you choose (to work with), for a Good Faith Estimate during scheduling.
  • If you receive a bill that is substantially higher than estimated on (more than $400 than) your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
  • It is a good idea to save a copy of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
